Raisa was first able to accept roles in the acting industry during her junior year of high school, modelling for ads in the print media and acting in commercials. The sitcoms she appeared in included her as a guest star. American Family: Journey of Dreams and Over There. Raisa played Tamy in Lil' Romeo's music video "My Girlfriend" as Tamy in 2004 as well as in the music video of Iyaz "So Big". She played the role of lead as Adrian Lee on the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager from July 2008 until the end of the series in early June 2013 In 2009, Raisa co-starred as Boo as Boo in the short feature film Boo produced by David Henrie in addition to guest-starring on USA Network TV's In Plain Sight. In 2013, Raisa appeared in the festive film Christmas Bounty alongside Mike "The Miz" Mizanin. Raisa august 2012. Between the year 2018 and 2022 Raisa played the role of Grownish on Freeform, a show executive-produced by Blackish creator Kenya Barris. It was her part in the show for just four years, and left her role after the conclusion of season 4. Raisa became part of the cast for How I Met Your Mother spinoff How I Met Your Father in May 2021. The series began airing on Hulu the 18th of January, 2022.
