South Korean model-turned-actor Hoyeon received an international acclaim and critical praise due to the international success of the Netflix original show Squid Game, in which she played Kan Sae-byeok. She is often referred to as Player 067. Hoyeon received an award from the Screen Actors Guild Award in Outstanding Performance by Female Actors on Drama Series. In addition, she received an Primetime Emmy Award nomination in Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series. Hoyeon, who is in Myeonmok-dong (a suburb of Seoul) was able to begin her modeling career as an unofficial model during Seoul Fashion Week 2011. Korea's Next Top Model was her fourth season. She finished with the title of runner-up. The year 2016 was the year she received her international debut after she signed an exclusive worldwide contract for Louis Vuitton. Fendi, Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu have been featured by her in campaigns.
