A music lover and experimenter since a young age, Long Island, New York's Madison Elle Beer started posting videos of her singing covers of well-known songs as 13-year-olds in 2012. Within a few months, pop star Justin Bieber came across her rendition of Etta James' "At Last" and shared it with his 25-million-plus Twitter followers. The publicity led to her signing a contract with a record label with Island Records, and then an agreement to manage Bieber's manager. Beer also got a tiny part in Louder Than Words, starring David Duchovny, and it premiered at the 2013 film festival. The debut single she released, the poppy, melismatic "Melodies," also saw release late that year.Beer's vocals began appearing on the songs of other artists including Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and 2015's club track "I Will Not Let You Walk Away" by Mako. She released her solo debut EP As She Pleases in the year 2018. "Home with You" reached the Top 30 in Norway while the EP topped half of the Billboard 200. Beer released the single "Hurts Like Hell" with Offset in the same year.
